A Healing of the Paternal Relationship – Session 2

June 8 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Did you have any conflict, absence of, or loss of a father or father figure in your life? The male father figure often is culturally conditioned to be the provider for the family. This creates the common dynamic for the father figure to be away more working or to have an added layer of stress as the provider within the family. This can lead the child to see the father less often and not understand why. This does not happen in every family of course but it is a common occurrence. Many individuals have a very positive relationship with their father and then experience a painful loss when they pass away. Others have fathers who are highly critical of them and unfortunately there are those who suffer abandonment, abuse and/or neglect of a father. When this occurs, this can lead someone to have less self-love and worthiness within themselves. When one experiences the loss of a positive role model of a father, they can experience grief that they do not know how to let go of. Negative views of self, as well as grief, can affect various relationships in multiple ways. Romantic relationships are the types of relationships that are mostly affected when a person is holding onto any type of grief regarding a parent. This is because in the process of the child brain development, the child tends to believe that anything that happens to them is their fault. Therefore, a child believes that any conflict or abandonment of a parent, whether intentional or accidental, is their own fault. This is what creates the negative self-esteem development that often continues into adulthood. Whenever we have a lower level of self-worth, we have more conflict in relationships, especially in romantic relationships.

Explore how to let go of negative and untrue beliefs, that you have adopted within yourself, due to any complex dynamics with your father or your family lineage.

Utilizing sound therapy as a healing device you can empower yourself to take back your balance of masculine and feminine energy, as well as your full capacity to love yourself and have healthy relationships in all areas of your life.
